Q: How to get shower caddy to stay up in 6 easy steps?
A: You will need three basic elements: a rubber band, some pliers, and a ball of steel wool if your caddy is coated in chromium.
After you have everything in place, follow these steps:
First, you need to bring down the shower caddy, the showerhead, and the cap using the pliers
If the pipes and the cap are lined with chromium, use the steel wool and water to clean them up. If your pipes are made of stainless steel, a little dishwasher does the trick as well (more cleaning tips over here).
Now you have to set the cap in place again. This should be easy since it relies on the pressure you put on it to pop back again.
Grab the rubber band and use it around the pipe with a few twists. Make sure the band is loose enough to keep it from breaking.
Take the shower caddy and place it back on the shower. Make sure to put it on top of the rubber band or just behind it to keep it in place.
Pop the head of the shower back in place and make sure it doesn’t leak. If it does, use Teflon tape to seal it. Presto, the shower caddy shouldn’t slip or fall out of place anymore.
