Acacia , is a natural wood that is becoming trendy and popular for use in cutting boards. Historically, acacia has been a prized wood because of it’s beauty and strength. The Bible references a special genus of red acacia that grows in East Africa as the wood that was used to build The Ark of the Covenant and Noah’s Ark.

After washing and drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.
